I am guilty of neglecting the stampset in the Sophisticated Sled bundle as the dies are so very clever and cute. This card however uses both the stamps and dies.
I rarely use traditional Christmas colours and love the vibrant blue of one of the Winter Meadow dsp sheets.
I embossed the patterned paper with the sentiment and some little snowflakes before mounting it on to a Real Red layer of cardstock.
I’ve used a large tag (Greetings of the Season dies) and embossed it using Snowflake Sky. The white label stands out really well against the blue background and in turn provides a nice background for the die cut skates and greenery.
I used Shaded Spruce and Real Red Stampin’ Blends to colour the leaves and berries and then Boho Blue, Balmy Blue and Smoky Slate for the bows and boots. Stampin' Blends blend so well, it was easy to create a subtle ombre effect on the boots going from Dark Boho Blue at the top through Light Boho Blue, Dark Balmy Blue and finally Light Balmy Blue at the bottom. Lastly I added a Faceted Gem to the middle of the top bow.
