Thinking of you with meadow flowers

The last time I used the Meadow dies I added lots of colour, this time I wanted to go for a much more subtle look.

The only colours used on this card are white and Gray Granite which is a lovely warm grey and works well for a sympathy or thinking of you card.

I started by die cutting the pieces I wanted using some of the Meadow dies and cutting a rectangle of Gray Granite cardstock. I have used the sentiment and large script stamps from Very Versailles.

The next step was to add some texture to the grey piece by embossing it using the beautiful Tasteful Textile embossing folder.

To add even more texture, I have used a blending brush to ink up the edges of the panel.

I had to trim the piece down a little as I decided I wanted to add some additional layers between this panel and the card base.

Now it was time to add the die cuts, I trimmed down the flower on the right a little to make room for the butterfly. The tag has some Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon threaded through it and has been mounted on the card using dimensionals.

The textured and blended background on this card really bring it to life and I love how Stampin' Up! colour co-ordinate their products with ink, cardstock and ribbon all in the same shade.

If you are interested in what I used to make this card, below are the product links.

Thanks for looking,

Katie x
