Sparkling Snowflakes

My card today is for this month‘s Casually Crafting Design Team sketch challenge.

I decided to create my own dsp with Sparkling Snowflakes, using a combination of blues and greens with white embossing.

I started with a white cardstock layer and added some Pool Party using a blending brush. Next I used all three of the solid snowflake stamps in Lost Lagoon, Boho Blue and Blueberry Bushel. Then I used the middle sized detail stamp in Pretty Peacock and lastly the large detailed snowflake was heat embossed in white.

This created a lovely randomly patterned piece from which I cut my six rectangles. Each rectangle was layered onto either Pool Party or Lost Lagoon cardstock and carefully positioned onto the white card base.

I heat embossed the sentiment onto a piece of Blueberry Bushel cardstock and trimmed to size. The lovely silver edge comes from Silver & White ribbon which I cut in half along the length and stuck to the reverse using double sided tape.

I used some silver trim and strands of Lost Lagoon ribbon behind the sentiment to add texture.
