Say Hello with Flowers

I'm blog hopping with the Casually Crafting Design Team and this month we have a tic tic toe challenge.

I chose the line top to bottom on the right hand side so needed to incorporate ribbon, hello and white in my card.

White is a tricky colour to use and photograph so I've used lots of white with two really pretty pastel colours - Pale Papaya and Soft Sea Foam.

I started by using my Flowers of Friendship stamp set and punch to create a selection of flowers and leaves. I have stamped in white on coloured cardstock and coloured ink on white.

Next I added a hint of Pale Papaya using a blending brush behind where the flowers would sit. Once there was some colour on the white layer, I roughly masked off and applied versa mark through one of the Butterflies and Flowers Layering Decorative Masks and then heat embossed in white.

I used Pale Papaya ribbon cut in half along the length and strands from a piece of white baker's twine. I scattered the ribbon onto the base layer and used mini glue dots to hold in place.

The leaves have been stuck to the back of the flowers which have been added to the base layer with mini dimensionals. Once the flowers were added, I snipped and trimmed the ribbon and thread.

The flowers each have a frosted white gem added to the centre and the word 'hello' has been heat embossed in white and fussy cut.

Why not have a go at the tic tac toe challenge yourself? Pick a line and see what you come up with. You will find lots of inspiration from the the other design team members, you can check out their creations by clicking on the blog links below.
