Rays of Light

I have no idea what took me so long to notice this stamp set! It has been the perfect stamp to use on what has been a bitterly cold day.

I had already made the elephant card for an upcoming workshop and decided to make a couple more changing the colours a bit.

The obvious choice of colours are yellow and orange tones, my elephant card is Mango Melody and Calypso Coral. On the kite card I went for Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody and Balmy Blue, the stems card has more pink tones, So Saffron, Polished Pink, Flirty Flamingo and Blushing Bride.

I love this little card, I stamped the rays directly onto a 4" square card base. Blending brushes are perfect for softening and blending the colours. The little elephant (Elephant Parade) has been stamped, coloured using Stampin' Blends and die cut, doesn't he look cute trampling through the die cut grass.

My next card, with the pink tones, makes me think of a sunset so I used the beautiful seed heads stamp (Dainty Delight) to create the image as silhouettes. Memento ink and a black Stampin' Blend marker was all that was needed.

My last card (for now!) makes me think of a blustery spring day with the kites rising up towards the clouds, both are created from dies in Playing in the Rain.

All my cards have sentiments from Best Family Ever, this is such a great set and works perfectly with Stylish Shapes dies.

I can't decide which card I like best, but I do keep coming back to the elephant one. He is such a cheery character and I like the way the sun rays cover the whole of the 4" square card. Do you have a favourite?

Below you will find product links for the stamps and dies used on today's card. If you are interested in making a purchase, please use this months host code and if your order is over £30 you will get a hand made thank you card and small gift from me.

Thanks for looking,

Katie
