Pretty Flowers

This weekend marks the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, what a perfect time for a colour challenge featuring red and blue.

The Global Design Project Challenge #345 is to use Starry Sky, Sweet Sorbet and Petal Pink.

I've toned down the colours a little by creating the flowers with a water colour wash. After adding the colour using a water painter, I let it dry before heat embossing the flowers and leaves in white and then die cutting.

The card base is 6'' square to which I've added a piece of Starry Sky dsp. The white panel has been die cut with a 'notepad' style top and then partially embossed using Pretty Flowers embossing folder, leaving a strip along the bottom for the Happy Birthday sentiment.

I've added some Baker's Twine to the top of the embossed panel before sticking it to the card using dimensionals.

The die cut flowers have been arranged down the left hand side of the embossed piece, I really didn't want to cover up too much of that pretty flowers embossing.

If you are interested in purchasing any of the items used here, you will find product links below. Please use this months host code and if your order is over £30 you will get a hand made thank you card and small gift from me.

Thanks for looking,
