Pink Snowflakes

The theme for this month’s Stamptastic Friends blog hop is Christmas so I decided to pull out every shade of pink and create a card full of snowflakes.

Sparkling Snowflakes has a lovely selection of solid and detailed images which I have used to frame the sentiment from Greetings of the Season. My card base is Berry Burst and underneath the stamped piece sits a layer of Fresh Freesia.

The detailed snowflakes have been stamped in Petunia Pop, Berry Burst and Melon Mambo, the solid snowflakes have been lightly stamped in Bubble Bath, Pretty in Pink and Fresh Freesia.

I’ve used a blending brush to add Berry Burst around the outside, leaving a nice white space in the middle. I repeated the design on the flap of the envelope letting it come over onto the front too. As I chose to use a dark coloured card base, inside there is a white layer stamped with even more snowflakes using just the palest colours.

A few Purple Fine Shimmer gems have been added to the centre of each snowflake for a little sparkle.

I wonder what the other Stamptastic Friends blog hoppers have created for this challenge. You can check them out by clicking on the links below.
