Today’s card, which is my entry into this week’s Global Design Project Challenge #GDP335 is almost entirely die cut.
I have made quite a few cards using the Brilliant Rainbow dies and this time put them with Horizon and Stitched Rectangle dies to create a sweet little scene in soft pastel and neutral colours.
A couple of the layers have been embossed using Tasteful Textiles which adds a lovely heavy canvas type texture.
I started with an Early Espresso layer, on which sits an embossed Pool Party layer with the bottom half Very Vanilla. I created some fields by overlapping die cut pieces in Sahara Sand, So Saffron, Soft Succulent and Soft Suede. Next I placed the clouds and rainbow pieces.
Finally the scene was completed with the last cloud, the trees on the horizon line and the fence and grass pieces.
I added some linen thread and then used pieces of dimensional around the outside edge to raise the layer up off the card base.
I love the earthy tones of this card with the soft greens and pastel shades adding just a hint of colour. The only stamped element is the sentiment which is from Sweet as a Peach.
There is still time to help me support the appeal, for every order placed during March using this month's host code PZPTR69C, I will make a donation of 10% of the order value (including tax & shipping) to the British Red Cross DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
You can add any current catalogue product to your order, every item will count. Links to the products used on today's card are below, please remember to add the hostcode before you check out.
Thanks for looking,
