Green & Gold Christmas

We have a colour challenge this month for the Casually Crafting Design Team blog hop, and two of the colours are my absolute favourite greens.

The colours are Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent and Gold, perfect for an elegant Christmas card.

I started by cutting all my different layers and elements. The largest gold rectangle has had the centre cut out using a craft knife, this was then trimmed to sit behind the stamped piece. My dsp is from Lights Aglow and is a great way of using up scraps, each strip is either 1/2 or 3/4 inches wide.

The stamped sentiment is from Brightest Glow and the greenery is from Decorated with Happiness.

I stuck the dsp strips in place starting in the middle and then spacing them evenly left and right mixing up the heights a little.

Before adding the stamped piece (using dimensionals) I wrapped some gold Simply Elegant Trim around the top left and bottom right corners and tied in a bow.

Lastly I added some small gold Festive Pearls scattered amongst the greenery. This was a pretty straightforward card to stamp and assemble, a good design for mass production.

I wonder what the other CCDT members have come up with for this colour challenge. You can check them out by clicking on the links below.

If you are interested in purchasing any of the items used here, you will find product links below. Please use this months host code and if your order is over £30 you will get a hand made thank you card and small gift from me.

Thanks for looking,
