.....yes, THAT season! I always feel a bit hesitant sharing my first Christmas card, but I received a couple of new stampsets in my order this week so, here goes.
I am blog hopping with the Stamptastic Friends this weekend and we have the theme Colouring Technique. My favourite colouring medium by far is Stampin' Blends, on this card I've gone for a really simple colour palette of red, green and grey using light and dark blends for shading.
The stampset I preordered (available to customers at the beginning of September) was Yuletide Village, I love this church as well as the cute little houses covered in snow. At some point I will create a street scene using several of the images side by side. There are no dies with this set but the images are quite easy to fussy cut as I did with the larger tree.
My other purchase was the (already available) online exclusive stampset/die bundle Iconic Imagery. The greenery and berries in the corners and the sentiment and stitched label die are all from this bundle. It also has a lovely large stitched label and some fantastic little images including a leaf and snowflake with corresponding dies.
I have used Silver & White ribbon to edge the white card layer with just the silver trim showing, my card base is Gray Granite.
