The make
The Cheers & Sips dsp that I used a few days ago has some lovely water coloured images and I thought I'd have a go at creating my own. I started by clear heat embossing the glasses, ice cubes and a few citrus slices. Then one at a time, with a water painter, I added water to the images to create a wet surface then used a small brush water painter to add my coloured ink. I started at the bottom of each glass working up so that the colour became less intense towards the top.

I'm really happy with how these turned, I've not used this technique in a while, never being particularly happy with the results before. Once die cut, the outside the line imperfections were less noticeable.

The images are so bright and colourful I wanted them to really stand out so decided on no other background or layering.

My sentiments have come from another new set, Notes & Totes. I stamped 'relax & enjoy' directly onto the card base and added 'you earned it!' heat embossed in white onto black card.

When the new catalogue and online exclusive products are released I will add product links to this post. In the meantime, it must be cocktail hour somewhere in the world ….cheers!
Back soon,
