Amazing Silhouettes Butterflies

I’m blogging with the Casually Crafting Design Team again and this month we have a colour challenge.

The colours are very pretty and work so well together, we have Rich Razzleberry, Fresh Freesia and Old Olive.

I started by adding a pattern to my Old Olive layer. I used the same colour ink and one of the Butterflies and Flowers Decorative Layering Masks. A little masking tape to hold the mask in place makes the job a whole lot easier and I like to use a blending brush to add the ink.

Next I stamped my butterfly silhouettes in Rich Razzleberry and Fresh Freesia. I do get good use out of my blending brushes! Here I used one to remove a little excess ink from the stamp.

I needed to trim the butterflies layer a little to fit on my card base, I decided losing the top and bottom of the stamped images was preferable to overlapping the butterflies to make them fit.

My card base is Fresh Freesia and beneath the butterflies panel are layers of both Fresh Freesia and Rich Razzleberry cardstock. My sentiment is from Wildflower Path and has been simply trimmed to size.

A loop of simply tied ribbon and a few gems on the middle butterfly have been added for texture and a little sparkle.

I wonder what the other design team members have created for this challenge, you can check them out by clicking on the links below.

If you are interested in purchasing any of the items used here, you will find product links below. Please use this months host code QBY6PVQT and if your order is over £30 you will get a hand made thank you card and small gift from me.
